Background

Bruton Street Management was set up by Andrew Kafkaris in 2008. As a leaseholder himself, and Chair of his Residents’ Management Company (RMC), Andrew had become disenchanted with managing agents promising much and delivering very little.

Under Andrew’s leadership, Bruton Street Management has employed and trained the best people in the business with the skills, confidence and workload to ensure the highest service standards.

Our Story 

Andrew is a Chartered Surveyor and has advised some of the UK's largest and best-known property companies, and continues to provide consultancy services to many of these clients. Early in his career Andrew assisted with the management of apartment buildings for Berkeley Group and for resident management companies in Belgravia. It was here Andrew recognised the importance of high-quality staff and reliable tradespeople. Andrew is committed to building a loyal team of suppliers that are treated and valued with the utmost respect. 

In the late 1990’s Andrew was elected Chairman of his residents’ management company and became very active in overseeing the managing agent’s activities. The Directors were consistently frustrated by the number of tasks that needed completing and the lack of a pro-active approach by the managing agent. As one director put it “our previous agents were high on promise; low on delivery”. This was despite the previous managing agents being ARMA members and winners of various industry accolades. Andrew realised that the often relative inexperience of the individual property managers and their workload in dealing with a very high number of flats and properties meant that it was unrealistic for them to deliver a high-quality service.

Bruton Street Management employs Real Estate graduates and has built a team of qualified estate managers. This quality is delivered every day at every property we manage because we ensure our property managers have sufficient time to dedicate themselves to catering to the needs of the residents and clients.
